For the attention of BYC Boat owners
BYC is hosting the Irish Sailing Youth National Championships between 9th & 12th April 2026.
It is envisaged that the event will attract 160 – 200 sailors competing in 7 classes over the four days, and to assist with the event running safely and smoothly, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following temporary boat parking arrangements.
All boats currently stored in the South Park area, aside from those belonging to competitors, must be moved no later than Saturday 4th April, as BYC volunteers will be hard at work setting up the site for the event. For members with space at home to take their boat away but without a way to get it there the club is able to help in the form of a stacker trailer being manned on the 4th April to ferry boats. For members completely unable to take their boat off-site, there is limited space to move your boat into the top unused Kingsland tennis courts for the duration of the event.
Competitors whose boats are currently situated in the South Park are requested to move their boats to the far end of the South Park, adjacent to the Frank Smith slipway by the 4th April.
