BYC Dolphins
Welcome to the Water for our Dolphins program – an exciting, family-led initiative supporting first-time experiences for our sailors every Friday evening!
This program is designed for children ages 6 and up. Whether your sailor has completed an RYA Course or you’re looking to try something new within the community there are many different options for you to choose from.
We Provide
Setting Sail in a Bahia
Setting sail in a Bahia – a training dinghy that allows room for 2 or more children to experience the water with friends or family. No sailing experience is required from the participants as this will be helmed (sailed) by an active sailor or instructor. This training dinghy is certainly a social one that offers fun, friendship, and familiarity to the water.

Setting Sail in a Qube
Setting sail in a Qube – a small dinghy suitable for little ones who have their RYA Stage 2 certificate, this nifty little number is for one person, safe and secure, unlikely to capsize and allows sailors to gain more confidence on their own on the water with the support of rescue cover and parents on site.

Setting Sail in a Pico
Setting sail in a Pico – a slightly bigger training dinghy than the Qube, which is suitable for children who have their RYA Stage 3 certificate, two sailors who can work together as a dynamic duo on the water, breezing through the waves and racing the wind.
