The BYC ‘Discover Sailing’ Open Day gives everyone – members of the public and club members alike – the opportunity to try different watersports by booking supervised taster sessions in sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking and power boating.
Equipment including wetsuits and buoyancy aids are provided for guests and information about other clothing and equipment you might need is provided on the registration page. For the hungry, hot dogs and burgers can be purchased at our barbeque stand and the bar will be open.
Rob Milligan, Club Commodore, says: “Whether you’re completely new to watersports, want to try something different, or you’re looking to get back on the water, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go. With direct access to the safe waters of Ballyholme Bay we are ideally located for watersports and we’d love to get more people involved.”
