SATURDAY 30TH MAY 10.00AM – 6.00PM

SUNDAY 31ST MAY 10.00AM – 6.00PM

[AUTUMN COURSES AT BYC 2024] The cooler months may be here but you can keep on learning at Ballyholme Yacht Club with Autumn courses for prospective wingfoilers, windsurfers, powerboaters as well as skippers and yachtmasters.

You do not have to be a member to take any of the courses and all the necessary equipment is provided although you will be expected to bring your own personal swimwear, waterproofs and footwear where needed.

BYC is a RYA (Royal Yachting Association) recognised training centre with courses run by qualified teachers with certificates awarded on successful completion of these courses.

FANTASTIC NEWS! BYC won an Ovington ILCA 7 at the recent ILCA UK Open & National Championships held at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy!

In an incredible stroke of good fortune BYC won the draw for the ILCA 7, donated by Ovington Boats 'as their way of supporting the ILCA racing community'.

The prize was presented to the BYC sailors competing at the event (left to right Dan McCaughey, Iseult Spiers, Cormac Byrne) by Olympic GBR Sailor, Micky Beckett (2nd from right) along with John McAfee, Export Sales Manager from Ovington Boats (right).

This boat was kindly delivered from WPNSA to BYC by Kieran Byrne earlier this week.

This ILCA 7 will be used to support and build the Class at our Club and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ovington Boats for their generous and kind support.

Ovington Boats Big Prize Draw with Micky Beckett during the ILCA UK Open & National Championships

Beautiful weather with 8-10 knots of wind, sunshine, and bay sailing for the ILCA6 gold fleet and ILCA7s, while the ILCA4s and Silver fleet ILCA6s competed in the harbor. More details on the racing will be provided in the final report in the coming days.
