‘Our Living Seas’ and ‘Sustainable Fish Cities NI’ Talks by Ulster Wildlife

Including Reintroduction of our Native Oyster to Bangor Marina

Thursday 21st April 5pm – 6pm

 Suitable for all ages

Join us at BYC for two short talks on the creatures living in our bay, from small-spotted catsharks and cuckoo wrasse to brittlestars and our much loved black guillemot there will be something for everyone.

The talks will also include fascinating information on the recent reintroduction of our native oyster to Bangor Marina, which were thought to be extinct in Belfast Lough since 1903. Did you know a single oyster can filter up to 200 litres of seawater (approximately a bathtub) per day dramatically improving water clarity?  Perfect for our swimmers.

Ulster Wildlife will bring a variety of sea treasures to show us and there will be a raffle drawn from your free ticket number for a Rooster prize in association with Brian Spence Sailing.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
