Adult RYA Sailing Courses

Ready to get out on the water and learn to sail? Our Adult Learn to Sail courses are the perfect introduction for complete beginners looking to build confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy time afloat in a fun and supportive environment.

Over two exciting days, our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of sailing, including boat handling, wind awareness, steering, ropework, and essential on-the-water skills. By the end of the course, you’ll be confidently sailing under supervision and ready to continue your sailing journey.

No previous experience is required — just enthusiasm and a sense of adventure!

Minimum age: 16 years old

Course Times

Day 1: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Day 2: 9:30am – 5:00pm

No Experience Needed

This course is designed specifically for beginners, so there’s no need to have sailed before. Our friendly instructors will support you every step of the way.

What to Bring

• Warm clothing for after training
• Towel and swimwear for under wetsuit
• Wetkit if you have it, if not don’t worry we’ve got you covered,
• Wet shoes or old trainers you don’t mind getting wet
• Lunch, snacks and water
