RYA Youth – Start Racing (full day)

Monday 3rd July – Tuesday 4th July 2023   9.30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Ability Required
Sailing and knowledge to at least the standard of the Stage 3 standard

This fun and competitive course will provide the skills necessary to start club level racing at Ballyholme Yacht Club and beyond.

We will take you through all the most important parts of a race, including starting sequences, enhancing boat speed and getting across the line first!

Please note there is a non-refundable administrative charge of £1.50 per transaction.

What to Bring

– Wetsuit boots or an old pair of trainers *

– Swimwear for under the wetsuit, towel, dry change of clothes

– Sunscreen/cap
– Water, snacks, lunch

*Note: wellington boots, wetsuit socks, flip-flops and Crocs are NOT suitable footwear for dinghy sailing.

We can provide a wetsuit, spray-jacket and buoyancy aid (can’t guarantee all the sizes)
