RYA Safety Boat Course

Saturday 22nd April – Sunday 23rd April 2023

This two-day course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities.

It includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying.

Course Duration

Saturday, 22nd April 2023 9.30am – 5.00pm

Sunday, 23rd April 2023 9.30am – 5.00pm

Cost

BYC Members- £180.00

Non-Members- £220.00

NOTE: There is a non-refundable administration fee of £1.50 for each transaction

What to bring

• Warm clothes; jumpers, hat, gloves etc
• Waterproofs (You will not need to enter the water)
• Welly boots or old trainers you don’t mind getting wet
• Lifejacket/buoyancy aid (if you do not own one we can provide one)
• Lunch

Previous Experience

Must have completed Level 2 and be a competent powerboater
