Course Details

The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course provides the skills and background knowledge needed by a competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. For more information on ICC click here. After completing the course you will be self-sufficient in handling a powerboat in the right conditions, aware of your own limitations and those of your craft.

Minimum age to attend course is 12 and under 16s will receive an endorsed certificate.

Course Duration

Weekend course- 2 day course 9:30am – 5:00pm
Evening course- 4 evenings 6:30pm – 10:00pm


Members- £160
Non-Members- £200

Previous Experience

No experience required; Level 1 doesn’t need to be completed before Level 2

What to bring

• Warm clothes; jumpers, hat, gloves etc
• Waterproofs (You will not need to enter the water)
• Welly boots or old trainers you don’t mind getting wet
• Lifejacket/buoyancy aid (if you do not own one we can provide one)
• A passport sized photograph of yourself for your certificate
• Lunch

Course Availability

If you have a group of 3 then a private course can be organised on request
