RYA Adult Sailing – Level 1 Dinghy 

Saturday 10th August & Sunday 11th August 2024

No experience required!

The course is open to BYC members and non-members

This 2 day weekend course will introduce you to sailing with all you need to know to get afloat under supervision

You will learn how to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering

Saturday, 10th August 9:30am – 5:00pm

Sunday, 11th August 9:30am – 5:00pm

Ability after Course
Able to sail in light winds under supervision

BYC Members rate- £190
Non-Members rate – £230

Please note there is non-refundable £1.50 administrative charge per transaction.

What to Bring

– Wetsuit boots or an old pair of trainers *

– Swimwear for under the wetsuit, towel, dry change of clothes

– Sunscreen/cap

– Water, snack, lunch

– Thin sailing or ‘gardening’ gloves are an option.

All applicable RYA books and logbooks are included.

*Note: wellington boots, wetsuit socks, flip-flops and Crocs are NOT suitable footwear for dinghy sailing.

The Club can provide a selection of wetsuits, spray tops and buoyancy aids (can’t guarantee all sizes).

Changing rooms & showers are available.
