RYA Adult Level 2 Dinghy 6th August – 7th August 2022

RYA Adult Level 2 Dinghy is a great way to gain confidence in your sailing

Saturday 6th August and Sunday 7th August 2022

Two-day course starting at 9.30 a.m. and finishing 5 p.m.

Ability Required
Sailing skills to standard of Level 1

This course will set out the foundations of sailing for you.
All sailing will be done in a dinghy such as our Laser Bahias, RS Fevas, Picos or Lasers.
You will learn rigging, launching, sailing in all directions, capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge.

Ability after Course
Able to sail and make decisions in good conditions

Please note: There is an administrative charge of £1.50 (non-refundable) per transaction.

What to Bring

– Wetsuit boots or an old pair of trainers *

– Swimwear for under the wetsuit, towel, dry change of clothes

– Sunscreen/cap
– Water, snacks, lunch

Thin sailing or ‘gardening’ gloves are an option.

Please also bring your sailing logbook so that the instructors can sign off what aspects of the course they complete along the way.

*Note: wellington boots, wetsuit socks, flip-flops and Crocs are NOT suitable footwear for dinghy sailing.

We can provide a wetsuit, spray-jacket and buoyancy aid (can’t guarantee all the sizes).

Changing rooms & showers are available.
