Day 1 of racing at the ILCA 6 Youth European Championships has come to a close, find out the results, where to view photos and see where our local sailors are sitting in the rankings.
Today saw the first of the qualifying races for the ILCA 6 Youth European Championships and a very successful day on the water. The breeze filled in as forecast, all competitors launched on time and 2 races were completed in all fleets without any postponements or general recalls.
After day 1 there is a tie at the top for both the boys and girls fleets. The boys have a 3 way tie between Floris Schraffordt of the Netherlands, Healy Ryan of Australia and Dario Burlando of Italy, all sitting at 5 points in the boys. The top two girls are leading with just 4 points each for France’s Gilda Dondona and Martyna Stachowiak of Poland.
