Where to StayHotels, guesthouses, B&B, self catered apartments, camping and campervans...
You can book most local accommodation through the Ards & North Down tourism website. This website is under review with the recent council changes – please ensure you use the Bangor/North Down tourism site.
There are lots of very good Guesthouses, B&B’s and some small hotels within walking distance of Ballyholme Yacht Club, especially from Bangor town centre, along Seacliff Road and around Ballyholme village. Self catering apartments and houses are also available (and very popular) to rent for the week.
A view of some of the local hotels and B&Bs can be viewed on this Tripadvsior page or on Google Maps. Search for Guesthouses as well as Hotels. Use our postcode BT20 5HT in any searches to include Ballyholme and not just Bangor.
Parking is free outside the town centre. There is also a large free carpark beside the RNLI lifeboat station near the Marina.
Please book early to avoid disappointment and to ensure that you’re close enough to enjoy any evenings entertainment that we’ve planned
CAMPING AND MOTOR-HOMES
For smaller events, we offer free camping on the lawn in front of the clubhouse with room for approx 6 tents. (please note this will not be available for the ISA Youth Pathway Nationals).
We also have limited space for motorhomes (water and electric charge: £10 per night) within the club grounds which will depend on the number of entries. We also have permission for camper-vans to use the public car-park to the north of the club for the duration of the ISA Youth Pathway Nationals. There isn’t any water or electrics although there is a perfect view of the race courses.
Swipe-cards are available from the BYC office to access the toilets at night-time during events, with a refundable deposit of £10 each.
Please contact the BYC Office for more details and to book your space for either a tent or motor-home.
